Texture Tuesday: Words

June 7, 2011

Amid all of the growth and seemingly unstoppable green that covers everything-in the middle of it all-it stands out so clear–the barren.

What was once so strong and full of the coursing sap that once filled branches and leaves-is left barren. Left for all to mourn.

We are left a promise because of hope.

It is the knowledge of faith-virtue-brotherly love-kindness-patience-knowledge-godliness-and above all charity.

It is because of these instructions-we have the promise of being fruitful-and green and lush and growing.

This particular tree really stuck out to me this week–the texture added so much to this photo-and the words gave it personal meaning for me.

I am linking up this week to Kim Klassen’s Cafe–

The contrast between your barren tree and the other leafed-out trees is so fitting for your chosen verse! Well done! Xo

I agree that the photograph you chose is really great. Love the fact that the tree looks like it is reaching out to all parts of the earth with it’s barren limbs like it would love to embrace all things, and then there is the trees that have their foilage in the photo also for a great contrast. Love the wording and it a great end product.

Everything about this is perfect….the picture, the words, and the texture. I love to use Kim’s Mustard Seed. Thanks so very much for including your layers palette. That is so helpful to those of us who are still learning the technique. genie

Great processing! Without the quote, the photo would seem very dark and depressing.
