Up North

June 14, 2010

Traverse City, Michigan.  We spend many anniversaries here.  It is a quiet, peaceful, slow town.  A place where we have learned to slow down and reconnect.  The water is clear, the sunsets red, and the towns sleepy.  We love the drive around the Peninsula.  Sutton’s Bay is full of art and culture and wonderful restaurants.  We eat outside and walk the little towns and buy things we like but don’t really need.  I love Traverse City and I love it Up North as the locales say.

Thank you to Little Red House for Mosaic Monday.  Where a story can be saved and cherished.

    What fun!
When we used to live in Chicago,
we had a few holidays in Luddington
as well as Grand Haven, MI.
    Love those little lake towns!
Happy Anniversary ~ have a ball!
    xx Suzanne

My Mom and I did a Circle Tour around Lake Michigan a few years ago and spent the night in Traverse City. It was beautiful. We loved everything about the town. Even the cheap hotel!
