Cousins

She has her cousin here.  They wake up early and stay up late.  They never tire of each other.  It is better than a friendship.  They are family.  You don’t have to entertain family.  They just know.  You don’t even have to brush your hair for family.  They love the same things.  They love the piano.  They love to sing at the top of their lungs old cowboy songs or Patch the Pirate songs.  They love to stay up late and be tired in the morning.  They love doing whatever the other one wants to do.  I love that they are cousins.

This is my sweet shot this week.  The joy that comes from seeing two that love each other so much. Visit Life With My 3 Boybarians for more sweet shots!

Very sweet shot indeed. There’s something great about seeing your own children playing well and enjoying your sibling’s kids!

I love this and the wonderful description of this type of relationship, which will last all of their lives. How lucky to be so close in age! I was the oldest cousin of eight, as my dad was the oldest boy of five {all boys}! My grandma was so happy that the first grand was a girl ~ ME! But, we were scattered about the country and only really saw each other at reunions. Now there is the next generation and I feel that having kids has brought us all closer. Technically, those kids are my second cousins. I’ve got a picture of one of these “seconds” on my post, today. Happy Wednesday! xx P&H
